Dentists

Dr. Eddie Goggins, B.A., B. Dent. Sc. (Hons) T.C.D.

Dr. Goggins qualified with honours from Trinity College Dublin in 1991. Since then he has established an exceptional reputation within the dental community. After graduating, Eddie moved to Bath in England to join a state-of-the-art general practice with a special interest in advanced restorative and cosmetic dentistry. He honed his skills under the tutelage of the accomplished and reputable Dr Michael Coleman. After 4 years Eddie returned home and expanded his knowledge working in Naas hospital with the HSE. Here he gained invaluable experience treating children and he was also involved in working with special needs patients. Subsequently, he joined a family general dental practice in Monkstown. Ten years ago, Eddie established the highly acclaimed centre at Cabinteely Dental Care. As the clinical director and practice owner his philosophy has always been to provide clients with the highest possible clinical care in a state of the art, tranquil environment. He is a perfectionist by nature and he has gathered a strong team of like minded and motivated co workers. Continuing education and training is a requirement of all clinicians at Cabinteely in order to maintain excellence in dental health care at the centre. Eddie still continues his own post graduate studies. Over the years he has acquired certification from the University of Warwick on the 4 year MSc in dental implantology. He has trained in the UK at the Bob Khanna Training Institute in facial rejuvenation and non surgical cosmetic procedures. As an established member, he is also a regular attendee on the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Eddie keeps up to date with Dublin dental hospital and Irish dental association lectures and courses. Eddie is a member of the Irish society of digital restorative dentistry and remains one of a small number clinicians in Ireland who offer digital Cerec restorations and crowns. Eddie has trained in the latest short term adult orthodontic procedures and is certified in provision of 6 month Smiles, Invisalign and Inman aligner treatments. He is keen to remain at the cutting edge of dentistry.

DR EOIN GARRIGAN, B.A., B.DENT.SC (HONS) T.C.D.

Dr. Eoin Garrigan joined our team last year with a wealth of experience in providing general family dentistry. His jovial and engaging personality has made him very popular and he has worked for many years in Ireland in the public and private dental health sector. Eoin is an honors Trinity Dental School graduate with a special interest in pediatric dentistry and adult preventative dental care. He also holds an honors Science degree in Physiology. Additionally, Eoin completed a postgraduate qualification with the Postgraduate Medical and Dental Board of Ireland involving advanced restorative techniques. Additionally, this encompassed working with patients with dental phobias and with the disabled.

Eoin is a member of the Irish Dental Association and the Irish Faculty of Primary Dental Care. He is firmly committed to continuing education and keeps up to date attending lectures organised by Dublin Dental Hospital, RCSI and the Irish Dental Association. Dr Garrigan is passionate about promoting dental health in underdeveloped countries and has spent time as a dental volunteer in South Africa and Peru with Kindness in Action.

Currently Eoin is studying for the Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties at The Royal College of Surgeons of England (MJDF RCS Eng).

Practice

Deborah Gough DSA, TCD

My career in dentistry started in 1996 where I began working as a dental nurse/clinical coordinator. I completed my nursing course in Dublin Dental Hospital in 2000 where I achieved a distinction in my final examinations. I continued my education with part time courses on all aspects of dentistry from clinical to practice managing.

I joined Cabinteely Dental Care in 2005 and I am proud to be manageress of such a professional and highly regarded practice. I am responsible for the day to day running of the practice offering our patients a concierge service in a relaxed tranquil environment.

Moira Byrne: Office Administrator

Moira joined our practice in 2009 with a wealth of experience in office administration and customer service. Moira is a very important member of our team and her caring and compassionate nature helps our patients feel welcomed and re assured at all times.

Paula King DSA. RDH. UCC.

Paula qualified as a dental hygienist in 2002, with first class honors diploma from university college Cork.

Since qualifying she has been involved with the Irish dental association regularly attending courses, keeping up to date with the latest practice requirements and techniques in the field.

Fiona White RDH

Fiona began her career in dentistry in 1988 when she qualified firstly as a registered dental nurse. She then furthered her education and qualified as both a hygienist and dental therapist in 1994. She has over 23 years experience , working in practices in London and Dublin. Fiona plays a crucial role in helping our patients maintain good oral hygiene and she has a great rapport with our patients. She has been with us since the very beginning in 2003. Fiona is committed to continuing education and constantly strives to find new and improved ways of caring for your oral health.
